“Chico” Chiriboga has played soccer since he could walk. He began training with a semi-pro team in New Jersey at the age of 14. His early career highlights included being named to the U.S. Ecuador team and capturing MVP honors in a Canadian tournament. He played four years in the midfield position for Park University in Kansas City (NAIA Div. I). He then played, and trained with semi-pro teams in Texas and New Jersey before moving to Kansas City permanently after college. Chico has coached and trained at many levels since his college days including Hyman Brand varsity boys, various club girls teams, and personal training for Jr. Wizards players. Chico currently runs “Chico’s Junior Soccer Academy” for elementary aged children, a ministry at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. He has also coached and co-coached the Heritage Christian Academy Varsity and Junior High School girls’ soccer teams. Chico was also the founder and coach of the RPC United Juniors Soccer U6 to U11 teams. He also directed the Horn Creek Christian summer junior soccer camps at Horn Creek Christian Family Camp in Colorado for 4 years.
