Jason was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado where he started playing soccer at the age of five. He was a four-year letterman at Eaglecrest High School (5A) and led the school to their first playoff appearance and playoff victory in school history. Jason also captained the team for three years and made the All-Conference and Aurora All-City team three years in a row.
On the club side, Jason played for the Colorado Rapids Developmental Academy team for three years. During his senior year of high school, Jason helped the Rapids to a 6th place finish at the National Developmental Academy League. Jason played college soccer for three years at Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas where he pursued a degree in Business Management. His coaching career started during his final semester at Sterling College. Jason coached for a season for Azzurri Soccer Club located in Hutchinson, Kansas. After this brief coaching experience, Jason knew coaching was something he was passionate about. The summer after graduating, Jason returned to his home city and volunteer coached for an independent club called Niyakko Rush, which works with refugee kids from various countries.
Since moving to Kansas City, Jason has had a huge desire to share the love of Christ through the beautiful game of soccer. “I was instantly drawn to Toca when I realized how intentional the coaches were with making Christ the center of everything they do while also playing and coaching great soccer.”
