While at MNU Seth earned 3rd team All-Conference, NCCAA All-Region, NAIA Scholar Athlete All-American, NSCAA Scholar Athlete All-Region Honorable Mention, and NCCAA Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention All-Region. Seth was also part of the team that captured a NCCAA National Championship in 2006. To go along with these honors, Seth was voted on as team captain for both his junior and senior seasons.
Seth is originally from Manhattan, Kansas where he attended Manhattan High School. While at MHS he played 3 years of varsity soccer under Doug Desmarteau. During those 3 years, Seth was a vital part of earning 3 straight regional titles and finished his career with 1st Team All-State, All-Region, and All-Conference honors. On top of being captain his senior year, Seth was also voted as team MVP for both his junior and senior seasons.
During the springs and summers, Seth played club ball for Flint Hills Soccer Club (Manhattan, KS), Real Madrid FC (Lee’s Summit, MO), and guest played in a couple of tournaments with some clubs based out of Wichita, KS. He also was a member of the ‘86 Kansas ODP ‘A’ team during the years ’01, ’02, and ’05. In ’09, Seth graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish.
Shortly after graduating, Seth found himself in Auburn, AL where he eventually earned his Master’s in Spanish Education at Auburn University. While in Auburn, Seth began his coaching career with Auburn Thunder Soccer Club where he coached u-15 boys, u-18 girls, and u-9 boys. After 2 years of coaching club ball, Seth moved to the high school realm at Smiths Station High School. While at SSHS, he coached the varsity boys’ team for 3 years and ended with an overall record of 38-19- 7. During those 3 years, his team earned the #8-ranked team in the state and two state-quarterfinal births.
